Ellen Dorn

Ellen Dorn joined Fanning Harper Martinson Brandt & Kutchin, P.C. in 2011, and is working in the following practice areas: estate planning, trust administration and probate, charitable gift planning, and nonprofit organizations.
Admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1988, Ellen is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts. Ellen has been awarded an “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating available. She previously served as President of a Texas trust company specializing in charitable trust administration.
Born and raised in Dallas, Ellen is or has been a director of a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, including St. Philip’s School and Community Center, Turtle Creek Manor, the local chapter of National Committee on Planned Giving, and Oak Cliff Cemetery. She is currently president of the St. Thomas More Society and has served as a director of the Society since 2006. From 1990-1991, she lived in Seoul, Korea as Henry Luce Scholar, where she investigated the nonprofit delivery of social services. Ellen received her undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Duke University and her law degree from University of Texas School of Law. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
