David R. Upham
David Upham is of counsel at Fanning Harper Martinson Brandt & Kutchin, P.C., and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
David is currently an assistant professor of Politics at the University of Dallas, where he regularly teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in constitutional law, administrative law, and American political thought. He has researched and published extensively in the field of constitutional history, and the history of the Fourteenth Amendment in particular.
David holds a Ph.D. in Politics from the University of Dallas, and a law degree from the University of Texas, where he was an associate editor of the Texas Law Review. After receiving his law degree, he practiced for three years in the litigation section of a large international law firm.
The focus of David’s practice has been in administrative adjudication, the defense of governmental entities, and constitutional litigation.
